Manual QA Tester

Overview

Working within the development team you will be responsible for quality assuring and testing the output of the department. As a Test Analyst you will be comfortable working through test plans, using cross browser testing software, communicating with both clients and other team members, and follow quality assurance methodologies.

Typical technologies used include TestRail, JIRA and BitBucket.

At the start of the day, you will attend a morning stand-up with the Project Manager and wider project team to discuss any tasks and roadblocks. Following the stand-up, you will work through your own task list, and support other team members with their tasks.

With many team members working remotely we have internal communication system which is used widely. You will have access to other Test Analysts for support, as well as the Project Manager and QA Manager.

You will be encouraged and supported to become ISTQB qualified, with time, training, and materials.

Skills Required

Essential

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience with website/software testing
  • Knowledge of quality assurance methodologies
  • Familiarity with Jira
  • Methodical and meticulous
  • Excellent written and spoken English

Beneficial

  • Working knowledge of BitBucket and TestRail
  • Familiarity with Magento/Adobe Commerce
  • Automated testing experience
  • Strong eCommerce knowledge
